Integrated and intelligent – Camozzi’s new cyber-physical systems

26th April 2019

For any manufacturer, one of the biggest frustrations comes when machinery has to be shut down for unscheduled maintenance or repair – it costs time and money. But now Camozzi Automation has launched two new products that can predict such things and reduce downtime and costs – Series D valve islands and Series PRE proportional pressure regulators, equipped with CoilVision technology.

Camozzi’s newly-launched end-to-end cyber-physical systems integrate sensors and intelligent components that can transmit complex process data to management systems and the cloud, through an IIoT Gateway supplied by Advantech. The information gathered can be analysed in real time by means of sophisticated proprietary algorithms and processed to produce detailed diagnostic reports, from which customers can generate predictive maintenance plans for their machines, increasing efficiencies and reducing costs.

These are the latest innovations from Camozzi Automation, which offers a product range including components, systems and technologies for the industrial automation sector, the control of fluids - liquids and gases - and applications dedicated to transportation and life science.

Marco Camozzi, managing director of Camozzi Automation S.p.A., said: “The interconnection and digitisation of production processes are the main challenges of Industry 4.0. Today more than ever, companies worldwide need to meet this challenge to increase their competitiveness. Camozzi’s innovative components and smart systems will allow companies to continuously monitor the performance of their production processes, plan maintenance activities more effectively and efficiently and significantly reduce downtime and operating costs.”

In the UK, Camozzi is based in Nuneaton in Warwickshire, and offers a complete range of Industrial Automation components, kit assembly services or fully designed and tested systems, either directly or through its national network of distributors.

Its Nuneaton base also houses a large range of stock, meaning most orders are despatched the same day. It is also home to a wealth of technical expertise and a fully equipped production facility, which can manufacture standard and non-standard pneumatic cylinders in less than one hour.

Camozzi will be showcasing Series D valves islands and Series PRE proportional pressure regulators and more at the Made in the Midlands Expo.
