LFE Engineering: The Best-Kept Secret in Sheet Metal Fabrication

26th April 2019

Based out of Coventry, LFE Engineering operate with years of industry experience, mainly dealing in sheet metal and heavy fabrications. Operating since 1999, LFE Engineering have a work-focused approach, and their customers have come to rely on their excellent service based around high attention to detail and dedicated expertise.

A large majority of LFE’s work takes place within the automotive industry, crafting components such as paint jigs, which allows painting robots to work on car bodies accurately and efficiently. The company also produces other products, such as pre-treatment systems and large vessels, to name a few. The majority of LFE Engineering’s work involves one-off projects tailored for the customer’s specific requirements.
Sean Conway, Managing Director of LFE Engineering, discusses how the smaller and more tightly-knit nature of the company allows for a fully bespoke approach to their work.
“We offer the whole process,” explains Mr. Conway. “When a customer comes along, we’ll go to their site to perform a site survey, before coming back and handing the information to our designers, who then produce the initial drawings. Once we’ve sent a quote over, we then get to work on the shop floor, taking the project all the way through to site installation and commissioning.
Mr. Conway says that this full-spectrum approach is the reason LFE Engineering is so trusted by their customers, adding: “The whole project, from start to finish, is looked after by us. To our customers, that’s a big plus.”
After years of honing their skills and expertise, LFE are now focusing on growing and expanding into new markets, looking towards industries like construction, defense and aerospace. They’re also currently providing hands-on training for three apprentices, and are working on taking on more this year, with Mr. Conway stating: “We know that the investment we put into our apprentices will always be good for the future of the business and wider industry.”
LFE Engineering are taking their first steps in the world of networking and marketing; the upcoming Made in the Midlands expo will be perfect opportunity for visitors to meet LFE and hear first-hand how they offer a start-to-finish package for all customers.
